I'm dreaming of a white Christmas

The lovely Jozza set this week's dare;

"I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas"

I want to see Christmas cards that are mainly white with just a hint of colouring on your embellishments or stamped image.

How tricky was this?! All the bits and bobs that look white on their own suddenly appeared to be off white against a white background!

I made these a few days ago but the light was so bad here, the pictures were truly awful - will it ever stop raining(!) These pictures are slightly better! I used the wonderful sketch at 2sketches4you for the first one and the bonus sketch for the second....

Initial Thoughts

This week's dare was set by the lovely Rein and it is a massively challenging one!

It's Rein (or Rika) here today and my,dare this week is:
"The First Letter"
I'd like you to put things on your card which begin with the first letter of your name.
You can use other things too, but see if you can use at least 3 things that share their initial letter with your own name.

For example my name is Rein so I could use rose, robot, radio, raven...

I made this;

Using a Journalling card, Jovial(!) Snowmen, Jolly(!!) holly, Jute, Jingle(!!!) bells, a Joy to the World rub on, and Junkshop(!!!!) buttons.

Scraplings

Paula set a fantastic challenge over at Daring Cardmaker's this week;

Scraplings are little narrow cards made from scrap cardstock. You know how when you make a card from a a piece of A4 or Letter sized cardstock you're left with an off-cut? Well that's the basis of a Scrapling. When folded in half, the Scrapling's card front will measure roughly 2 1/2" x 4 1/4" , though this depends of course on the size of card you were making in the first place!

So, dig out your scraps and make either a card or a gift tag!
The team have been having fun using up their off-cuts this week and have come up with all these ideas to get you thinking.

After a few false starts, I eventually made these;

Getting Krafty

My turn to dare this week and I thought that I would choose a product that is, as Timmy Trendy would say 'Bang on Trend' My dare this week is....

Using Kraft cardstock :) Either as a card base or somewhere on the card - if you don't have any you could use some card board such as corrugated or even a brown kraft envelope...

Kraft cardstock is currently one of my favourite products, a love that I know is shared with some of the other Daring Cardmakers.
