♥ football

Combining the current inspiration from Jaclyn Miller  on the CASE Study blog  with the current challenge at Less is More, I came up with this card;

I suppose that the amount of happiness that football brings is mainly scoreline dependant but, most of the time, it makes me smile :)

All the die cutting is embedded into the card to make it one layered :D

I used ; football die from Tattered Lace, heart die from Kesi'art, Crate Paper paper, OA rub ons and letter stickers from stash.

TFL :)

Egg Easel Card

Kathy dared us this week with this dare;

Another Dimension

  not Time Warps, Little Green Men from Mars, or anything else
  I just don't want to see any flat, regular sort of cards this week - instead I'd like to see lots of interesting folds and shapes; Stepper cards, Card in a Box, Pyramids, Flip-it type cards..... Anything goes as long as the finished, standing-up card is more 3D than 2D.

I tend to always make flat cards - mainly as I seem to get in a little bit of a pickle when it comes to making anything that requires precise measuring!  So I made an easel card, it does have an extra fold compared to a normal card so I'm sure that it fits the bill!

I used Lots of October Afternoon, Tattered Lace Dies, paper flowers and frame from stash, Buttons from here and Lace Ribbon and Button Twine from The Ribbon Girl.  The scallops are created from a mini Docraft circle punch and I added chalk ink and hand stitching.

I'm also entering this card into;

TFL - and have a very Happy Easter :)

The one with the homemade embossing paste....

Challenge number two is up at Virginia's View  and this time it's to use stencils;

As I'm not a prolific stamper, I don't have many stencils but I do have this honeycomb laser cut sheet.  Then I realised that I didn't have anything to splodge into it so I made some embossing paste!  I used a mix of Baby Powder, White Acrylic Paint and PVA Glue and mixed it until it looked sort of gloopy... I don't think that there was enough powder in it, but at least I know for next time :)

I added the paste to the stencil on top of some MME paper, left to dry then added some chalk ink and gold perfect pearls.  I made the bee from an oval punch, ultra sticky tape and Doodlebug flock and a heart die for wings.  I also used some letter stickers from stash, a mini peg and AC thickers before adding more MME paper layers and added the whole creation to a card blank made from Bazzil.

Easter Flowers

The current challenge over at The Less is More blog is for a one layer card with shadow stamping and Cute Card Thursday's theme is Easter.

This is my card;

In a break from my usual collage style, I made this CAS card using; Bazzill cardstock, an image that I have had for a good while, combined with a shadow stamped sentiment created from a digi stamp available here using multiple layers in Photoshop. I finished the card with a little bit of ink to compliment the flowers and a Wink of Stella pen to add a teeny bit of sparkle :)
