Plastic Fantastic

A rather poorly episode last week meant that Mum and Dad had to step in to rescue the children, all ok now though :)... and catching up, starting with Rhi's wonderful plastic dare...

This week it's Rhi here to dare you and I'm on a recycling mission. I dare you to look again at the plastic packaging around you and transform it into a brand new card. It could be food packaging, craft packaging or just something plastic that's destined for the bin or recycling. Trim it, die cut it, alcohol ink it, crop-o-dile it, give it a new lease of life then share it via your blog for us all to see. Happy Recycling!

So going back to my youth, I melted a strawberry yogurt pot in the oven, we used to make key rings out of them... You need a normal plastic pot, stick it upside down, on a baking tray, in the oven on a really low temp, I used gas mark 1. Wait until it has shrunk then take it out and drop a hefty book on it (I utillised the Argos catalogue :)) Melted yogurt pot. Done.

Other bits and bobs used were;
Basic Grey paper - I think it is Scarlet's letter
Prima flowers
Papermania brad
Creative Impressions ribbon
Printed sentiment and strawberries
Doodling (lots of) and inking.

TFL :)

Glad you're feeling better, Jo - sounds like you must have been pretty crook!
SUCH a great card - I love how you've used the yoghurt pot, and all the papers and embellishments - it's just fab. The Argos catalogue is a bit on the chunky side isn't it? perfect for flattening things....
