This week's dare was set by the lovely Keryn;

I love punches and use them on almost every card I make. This week I want you to join with me and make a card, any type, any theme but it needs to use your latest craft punch purchase. If you haven't bought any punches for a while or don't own any at all your latest craft purchase will be quite acceptable.

I had to check which was the most recent punch that I bought, was undecided between a note paper border punch and the whale of a punch butterfly. It turns out that the butterfly one was the most recent one that I purchased so this is the one that was used on my card;

I also used;
Cardstock - Bazzill
PP - Basic Grey
Pom pom - Bazzill
Ribbon - May arts
Rub on - Melissa Frances
Pearls - Basic Grey

and a card made using Kazan's fantastic sketch 38

Cardstock - Bazzill
PP- Jollybygolly Cosmo Cricket, vintage dictionary
Ribbon - May arts
Journalling card - Sassafras Lass
Button - Basic Grey
Letter stickers - MM
Rub ons - Melissa Frances, October Afternoon and 7Gypsies

Favorite Things

Kathy set this week's dare - the 1st dare of the 4th year of Daring Cardmakers!

It's me (Kathy) here with a challenge this week and as we're still in celebratory mood I thought we should have as much fun as possible and make a card to share and show our most favourite crafting bits and pieces.

"These are a Few of My Favourite Things"

This is a chance to go mad with the papers, embellishments, tools and styles you really love to use.
I'd like you to use at least 5 of your own personal favourite things on your card this week - if you can make it 10 then you can claim our DCM Gold Star - virtual, of course lol.
If you can't bear to give it away when it's full of all those treasured goodies, then make the card for yourself - you can always stick it up on your wall and enjoy seeing it every day!

So me not reading the dare properly made a card with 5 of the same thing on, which are one of my favorites; buttons! I then read the dare properly and realised that there are at least 10 of my favorite things on the card - it all worked out ok in the end!

I used;
5 buttons - Basic Grey, Doodlebug, Scenic Route
Rub ons - Melissa Frances
Patterned paper - Doodlebug
Cardstock - Bazzill
Ink - Tseukineko
Eyelets - Papermania
String - Ikea
Kraft card
Ribbon - Bazzill
Flowers - Prima
Image - Tigerfrogg
Floss - DMC

Lythan set the last dare of our 3rd year of Daring Cardmakers last week;

I can see clearly now
and I would love to see something clear on your card. It could be an acetate card, an acetate embellishment, a window cut in the card, clingfilm, OHP sheet, Mirror fragments - anything that shows that your card is clearly one of the best!

Acetate and clear stuff not being one of my favorite things! I made this;

Using a card bag to make a big rosette style flower!
Cardstock - Doodlebug
Paper - Cosmo Cricket
Flowers - Sizzix (cut from vintage paper)
Gems - Karen Foster
Ink - Colorbox
Ribbon - May Arts
Letter Stickers - Jenni Bowlin

Gradient is Radiant

A card inspired by the fun challenge over on the Moxie Fab World blog - using a colour gradient on a card;

I used a paint chip to create a gradient of colour along the side, Jenni Bowlin letters, vintage book print, ribbon from stash, Sizzix flower and handcut leaves from a green paint chip.

TFL :D

Laura's Sketch 36 and a toot!

A birthday card made using Laura's fabulous sketch over at 2Sketches4you;

Which I made using October Afternoon, vintage bookprint and manuscript, Papermania, Bazzill ribbon, and Doodlebug cardstock

and, I was so excited to see that one of my cards;

was chosen as a winner for the Papercrafts blog World Cardmaking day challenge, and my monkey card was chosen as a winner on the Moxie Fab blog :D

Purple

The lovely Vanessa set this week's dare;

This week we're seeing purple! You can blame me (Vanessa) for this one. I'm not a great fan of purple, but after wandering through the streets browsing the shop windows of my new town, I saw lots of purple going on in the fashion displays. So that is your brief for this week! :) Anything goes as long as the predominate colour is purple
.

And as this month as well as being the first complete month of Autumn also encompasses Hallowe'en, I made this;

I used Bazzill cardstock, May Arts ribbon, Basic Grey Brad, Papermania Gem, Vintage book paper, October Afternoon card, White and brown ink, Melissa Frances rub ons, DMC thread and some Poundland stickers from last year!

And a few more cards from this week;

'Wink'

Kraft cardstock, October Afternoon rub ons, Bazzill pom poms, MME papers;

'Hello Dear'

Cosmo Cricket and Doodlebug papers, Bazzill cardstock, Bo Bunny ribbon, Basic Grey button, MM letters, Doodlebug rub ons, Sassafras Lass chipboard, inking and stitching;

A little butterfly sympathy card;

Bazzill card, MME and Basic Grey papers, stiching, Butterfly punch, Basic Grey button, Melissa Frances rub on;

and, a quick Christmas card using mainly October Afternoon;

Happy World Cardmaking Day!

Happy World Cardmaking Day :D

I have made a couple of cards today but it was a little too dark to take photos! I have uploaded some other cards that I have made recently, starting with this week's Dare card;

This week's dare is a team dare;

Folding Up

It's "just what it says on the tin", we'd like to see some folds on your cards this week.
Fold the whole card, fold some paper, fold some ribbon.
Do some origami, teabag folding or just fold over a corner of your paper to reveal the other side.
As long as there's some sort of folding used as a feature of your card then it counts. Any subject, any theme, any reason.

I made a folded paper flower, using strips of the reverse side of Basic Grey's Junebug crazy quilt. I also used; Bazzill, Vintage manuscript, a chipboard flower (which I inked and embossed), Bazzill ribbon, felt, and MM and Doodlebug letters.

A cheeky monkey card which I made for my BIL's birthday;

I used, Bazzill, Vintage Manuscript, lots of different punches to create the monkey, Bo Bunny ribbon and Basic Grey Buttons.

A card and and tag made for one of Jared's little friends - I saw an Animal from the Muppets made from punched shapes on a blog but I really can't remember where it was, apologies for not crediting properly.

I usedBo Bunny papers, punches, Bo Bunny ribbon and Melissa Frances rub ons.

and Jase's Birthday card - Jase passed gained his Black Belt in Tae Kwondo on his Birthday so I made a combined card for him :)

and the boys (with a little help (!)) made a cake;
