Monster Monday

Two monster cards today - the first for this week's Daring Cardmaker's challenge sponsored by Funky Hand;

This week it's Kathy here with your challenge, and we have a wonderful prize to give away to one lucky winner.

We are joining in the celebrations for the launch of Funky Hand latest Papercraft Factory CD

Happy Happy Birthday

Our lucky random draw winner will receive a copy of this fabulous, brand new CD Rom!

Funky Hand design and supply a fabulous range of digital papers, images and templates for crafting projects. Visit the Funky Hand website and you'll find the fabulous Papercraft Factory CDs and also, for instant gratification downloadable paper and digi image collections.

To be in the draw you must:

1. make a card for this week's challenge and leave a link so we can see it

2. add links to your blog telling your readers about Funky Hand and the Daring Cardmakers

3. enter your card for no more than FIVE other challenges

Here's the challenge:

How Many Candles?

I'd simply like you to make a Birthday Card with at least one candle on it this week

The DCM team have all used Funky Hand papers from the Happy Happy Birthday CD to make their cards this week so you'll see what it's all about, but of course you may not have any (yet), so you can use anything you like.

If you would like to try using a Funky Hand Freebie, visit Get Funky! where you'll find this months new Funky Fifteenth freebie available to download right now.

and this is my card using a Funky Hand Monster and papers from the CD;

Scarily (for me!) it's a CAS one layered card so also fits (for the first time ever!) with the current Less is More challenge, anything goes.

and the second monster is the focus of a card that I made for my fabulous Bro-in-law's birthday;

I used a rather eclectic (and much more me!) mix of Crate Paper Random, MME Blush and Authentique Splendid papers, Sassafras journalling card, Safmat printed sentiment, Papermania gems, Ribbon Girl ribbon and button/button twine, OA rub ons and a handcut monster.
