The Making Spot are having a Virtual Street Party and everyone's invited!
I only have vague recollections of the Silver Jubilee, a few more of the Golden one but am sure that this one will be one to remember!
I love how the country seems to have been taken over by Union flags and tiny triangle bunting; red white and blue fever seems to have hit the nation and hopefully will continue throughout the Euros (c'mon England!) and Olympic Games.
The Making Spot to celebrate are having two whole days of festivities ahead of next weekend's super long holiday - pop on over and be treated to a wealth of lovely freebies - including free knitting patterns, embroidery patterns & papercraft downloads.
and so to my contribution to the party - it wouldn't be a street party without bringing something along...
So I give you;
tea
(mug from John Lewis)
complete with handmade coaster;
I used Rico Creative cotton aran and a number 4 hook
and...
cake!
- I added a Ribbon stick pin complete with Pink Paislee London Market flag and lots of edible glittery sprinkles to a handmade vanilla cupcake to make a cake fit for any regal celebration!
and...
a giveaway!
A gorgeous Pearls and Swirls Kit from The Ribbon Girl
Leave a comment below before midnight on June 5 and I'll pick a winner on the 6th!
and to finish, some very British photos, taken out and about in Chester this week;
Have a fantastic weekend - and don't forget to check out all the festvities over at the Making Spot!

Wow, this must be so much fun for you! I tutor German kids in English and their books deal with a bunch of kids from Chester - what a coincidence. Have a mahhvelous weekend.
Love the cupcake. I have seen so many flags around, it's been great. Shame about the weather though.
